The man on the Silver Mountain

Después de un artblock de más de 5 meses al fin he decidido retomar poquito a poco el dA. Mi tiempo es estúpidamente escaso, y lo que puedo dibujar solo es por las noches.

Como este retrato.
Me ha llevado unos cinco días, trabajando única y exclusivamente por las noches. Es mi primer retrato en el Paint Tool SAI, y no puedo estar más orgullosa a pesar de todos los fallos y detalles que tiene. Por supuesto tiene referencia, que dejaré más adelante, y esta referencia es una foto de Ronnie de los años 70. Partía de algo bastante difuminado y con poca calidad y resolución, aún así me he puesto a dibujarlo.

Y aquí está el resultado.
No pondré ninguna autocrítica porque sé perfectamente donde fallo, así que solo diré que necesito seguir ganando más práctica.

Espero que os guste, y no seáis tímido, cualquier cosilla, corrección o sugerencia es bien recibida.

After an artblock for too long, finally I can retake my dA for a while. I have no much time to draw or write, and averything I can draw have to be at night (when I spend my sleep hours drawing :__D)

As this portrait.
It’s my first portrait with Paint Tool SAI and well… It took around five days (working only at night). I know it has a lot of fails, mistakes and details to be fixed but as I said: it’s my first portrait. I used a reference, of course:

A photo of him from 70’s, I think.

As you can see, it’s an old picture, so I had to make up some details like lights & shades on the hair and on the shirt. I also had to be careful with his expression (eyebrows and mouth, above all) and his eyes, but specially with his lips form (I’m used to draw women, so men faces are difficult for me). I think it looks that his face is rounder than real, but I couldn’t do it better.

Anyway, it’s a good beginning. I hope to start more portraits soon (when my time allow it to me).
